Jonathan Papelbon Placed on Bereavement List; Boof Bonser Called Up

PrintThe Red Sox have called up Boof Bonser from Pawtucket (AAA). Jonathan Papelbon was placed on the bereavement list to make room for Bonser.
No word on why Papelbon has been placed on the bereavement list, but it seems it may be a family issue. Terry Francona expects Papelbon to be out three days.

I also wish the Papelbon family all the best.
Especially his wife and children. It’s not easy raising a family when dad is on the road so much. We know it’s not financial problems, so hope for the best of health.
