Minor Lines 6/04/10: A New Reddick?
Pawtucket L 4-8
Daniel Nava: 3-4, 2B
Lars Anderson: 0-4
Josh Reddick: 2-2, HR, 2 BB
-Kinda looking like a new man all-of-a-sudden. Everyone be very quiet and hope he doesn't run away. More walks than strikeouts in his last 10 games (hell, almost as many walks in 10 games as in the other 38), finally got back on the homer wagon.
Ryan Kalish: 1-3, 2B, BB, K
-Kalish, on the other hand, is looking basically the same as in Portland since the 0-4.
Jorge Jimenez: 0-3, BB, K
Kris Johnson: 3 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 2 HR
-Ah, well, that's back to normal then.
Tony is OK after the jump.
Portland W 4-3
Box Score

Anthony Rizzo: 1-3
Yamaico Navarro: 0-4
Kyle Weiland: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
Salem W 2-1

Oscar Tejeda: 1-3, BB, E

Yeiper De Jesus Castillo with another quality start.
Going back to the 4th inning on May 20, Yeiper has 20 innings with 0 BB and 18 SO. His K/BB for the season is at 3.21. In the month on May, he had only 6 BB in 6 starts.
It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the next level in Salem.

When are we gonna see Nava in Fenway?
Seriously, Hermida is hitting .221
Unless Hermida's injury last night sends him to the DL,
it’s doubtful he gets a call up until the Mike Lowell roster spot is opened. That will create the flexibility this roster needs to rotate some of our minor league players up for a look.
I can’t wait for him to get his chance in Boston. He could really help us during the interleague weeks in June with a contact bat off the bench and also his good base running instincts.
Hermida’s injury put him on the DL. We get Reddick. Oh well.
"We are not normal, We are Legends. People will tell their kids about us." - Deon Butler before Ohio State Game 2008.
That works for now.
The only other 40 man roster option is Aaron Bates and he has not played much outfield in the minors.
Kalish and Nava are surely not far away from the 40 man if Cameron and Ellsbury don’t get back soon.
Horray for Caleb Clay
Another good start

Casillo has added some meat to his frame this year.
He’s no longer the skinny 6’3" 17 year old that we signed out of Venezuela in 2006.
