I ertainly won't declare him to be unquestionably "back" yet, since it's just 6 games.
But people who jumped back on the “Lars is back to sucking!” bandwagon when he struggled following a promotion were really jumping the gun. Be worried about strikeouts or ground balls all you want, but don’t declare him toast when a predictable slump occurs.

Jealousy.
"We are not normal, We are Legends. People will tell their kids about us." - Deon Butler before Ohio State Game 2008.
And once again, another scoreless outing from Manuel
Almost wish he would have a terrible outing one day so they could justify him not being in Boston yet…
I guess he has since his ERA has ballooned to a massive 1.54.
There was some 10 day rule that he can't come back once he is sent down.
Is that done soon?

So I take it that we'd call him up?

Vitek
Liking his batting lines so far, however, that transition must be rough on him, two more Es.

The criticisms of his hands really make me wonder why they're looking at third.
Maybe they’re confident he can handle CF, so they figured a trial run wouldn’t hurt? Who knows.

Note to the worried
I saw all the Ks in Lowell and did my research. They were up against Sanz, who is turning 23 later this year and is only now learning how to beat up on kids younger than him and Torrealba who frankly should probably be promoted by now, striking out about 11 per 9 innings throughout his career with low ERAs.

It's not that important, but Lowrie is supposed to start in Lowell on Saturday.

It would be big
But his rehab schedule is long…So he won’t be back much in advance of Pedroia.

Hall has been hitting lately, but I wouldn't mind him replacing Hall
for the backup middle IF duty later in the year.

I wouldn't mind
if he simply stayed healthy the rest of the season. I’m not holding my breath, and I was a huge Lowrie supporter a few years back.
I was hoping he would.

It would be a good 3-4 weeks I would think
assuming that Pedroia has to also have a decent rehab stint before he’s ready to return.
I think the wording for Lowrie’s rehab stint is “could be up to 20 days” so maybe he’ll go faster. Although, with him, more likely it’ll be two months instead.
Well, Pedey's 6-week schedule was fairly pessimistic.
He doesn’t need surgery, and the rehab schedule is for an average person, not a top athlete with top doctors, trainers, etc. Plus the last portion of the rehab involves increasing activity, so Pedey could be playing DH in the minors before he’s fully out of things. 4-5 weeks is more likely, which would leave Jed coming back with maybe a week left.

In which case
that would be awesome.
Plus his reflexes will still be fine since he is apparently still taking grounders at second, just from his knees… Probably not too much shorter than he usually is.
Playing catch from his knees too, so his arm will still be in shape.
DH will fill all his needs, really. Live BP too, to keep him off the basepaths.
