He was only placed on the DL on June 6th...
So he won’t be eligible for a couple more days anyway.
He was already fielding and hitting before they placed him on the DL… but its supposed to be a deep bruise… so who knows?

Michael Bowden throws tonight in Pawtucket.
A preview of how he may lend some help to Boston’s bullpen. Man do we need help in the back of this pen.

How long before you notice
that the only time I ever mention anything regarding the game outcome is when it’s a walk-off, and even then very rarely. Get over your Bates persecution complex. He’s fringe to even be on the list.

Honestly I mentioned Lars too but my phone posted before I pressed it.
And ok.

I don't care if you mention Lars or not.
You just act like Bates isn’t getting equal opportunity in this when he is.

RBIs are kinda meaningless, really
In the sense that they don’t really tell you what a batter did, but what the batters ahead of him did. For example, if you have four hits in the game batting from leadoff, you could have a single, two doubles and a triple plus a whopping 0 RBI to show for it.
So there’s no reason to really mention RBIs, unless there’s something really unusual (say, a 6 RBI game or something).

Few things about our prospects
Felix Doubront was placed on the 7-day DL retroactive to June 8th with a left-shin contusion: That maybe the reason why he was pulled out of last game.
I exchanged some tweets with Casey Kelly last week and I asked him if he’s working on developing a slider as new pitch (you may remember that during the winter meeting Epstein said Kelly could add a slider eventually.) and he said to me “Not right now”
Will Middlebrooks and 4 of his Salem teammates have been named all-stars and most importantly I’ve read some rave reviews about his defense at the hot corner.
You got to admire the courage and the determination of Ryan Westmoreland: He’s now on twitter and his first tweet was:
Another day of rehab, closer to getting on the field again.
I love this kid!
Not good about Felix.
Good to hear that about Westmoreland.
I saw about the Salem Sox, good to have so many allstars
