Power Shortage?
With much of the preseason talk surrounding the "non-signing" of Jason Bay and the subsequent power-outtage that would come of it, it stands to reason that the Red Sox would be mediocre maybe even lower tier when it comes to hitting homers right?
WRONG: The Sox currently stand 2nd in the league in Homers behind the Blue Jays. With 62 team homers they are 12 ahead of the 3rd place Yankees.
The 62 have been spread pretty generously across the lineup
Youkilis - 10
Ortiz - 9
Pedroia - 8
Tek, Drew, V-Mart - 6
Hermida - 4
Beltre, McDonald, Hall - 3
Scutaro - 2
Lowell, Van Every - 1

Ortiz' count helps a great deal
He’s been en fuego in May.
"You know you're having a bad day when the fifth inning rolls around and they drag the warning track." - Mike Flanagan, Baltimore Orioles pitcher, 1992.
Not surprising
when you have 6+ guys (Pedroia, VMart, Youk, Papi, Drew, Beltre, Cam) all capable of hitting 15-25 HRs in the lineup, you are better off than having 2-3 guys who hit 35.
(and Cameron hasn’t even had a chance to hit one yet – came close yesterday though).
Plus the bench has produced an unexpected amount of power (i.e. the rested Tek and the notable clutch hits by DMac, Hall & Hermida).
Having the power spread out across multiple players like that also means the production is more consistent – less subject to slumps.
Pedroia has 8
The Pedroia listed as having 6 is actually Pedroia’s clone. Except for the fact that he’s bigger, bulkier, switch hits, plays catcher, and goes by the name “Victor Martinez,” he’s still the same guy.
It's like "Twins"
Clearly, Pedey is Schwarzenegger, and VMart is DeVito. I can even see the family resemblance.

I think someone on Extra Bases or Full Count suggested
No one in the lineup may get to 100 RBI this year, but they’ll probably end up with a whole slew of players in the 80-99 RBI range, showing a nice, balanced attack up and down the lineup.

Speaking of RBIs
I believe Drew currently leads the team. Take THAT Drew haters.

Yes, but unfortunately his OBP is uncharacteristically low
A pedestrian (for Drew) .354.

I won’t slap your high five

Apparently
You neglected to mention that Jason Bay has only 3 taters on the year
He’s been pretty good overall, still a terrible contract IMO.
