Felix Doubront Promoted to Pawtucket

Soxprospects.com is reporting that Felix Doubront is headed to AAA Pawtucket.

Felix has been having a very strong year so far. After looking impressive against major league competition in spring training with 7 scoreless innings, Doubront has shut down AA offenses over 45 innings. His 2.51 ERA leads all starters on the Sea Dogs, and is backed up by a solid 38:17 K:BB.

With Junichi Tazawa on the disabled list after Tommy John surgery, and Michael Bowden's continued struggles, Doubront could provide some high-level starting depth if he doesn't struggle with the promotion. Hopefully the Red Sox won't need it, but either way, it's a big step for a guy whose value is on the rise.

Awesome!

I’m a big fan of Doubront… psyched to see him moving up.

Now who moves up from Salem

to fill Felix’s spot?
Caleb Clay, Alex Wilson, Stolmy Pimentel, Brock Huntzinger, or Fabian Williamson?

I’ll go with Randy’s boy: Caleb Clay but Wilson may be the man because of this strike out totals. They love guys who can miss bats.

Wilson. I’ve always liked him, he may be a good prospect to sleep on.
