Loving the Fuentes homerun.

Can’t expect too many, but I like this kid. When he’s at his peak, he’ll be incredible.

Good to have both Fuentes and McGuiness going 3 for 4

while flashing some power at the dish.

Tonight is an interesting pitching match up in Salem with the Sox throwing Caleb Clay vs KC’s prospect, Chris Dwyer. Dwyer is a local boy from Swampscott/Lynn, MA and grew up a devoted Sox fan who’s dream is to play for the Red Sox one day. Radio feed for free on MILB.com

I love him.

But he has to stop guessing on breaking balls. It’s part of developing a 20 year old. If you don’t get better at hitting the breaking balls, you can end up at the 7-11.

Rizzo is two years younger than Anderson.

And Rizzo has missed a year of development with the lymphoma. Partly because of the fear from Rizzo’s battle with lymphoma, Anderson’s value on the open market may be greater. Rizzo still needs to make the jump to AA, which is the level that separates the man from the boys.
I am still a Rizzo fan. I’m also glad we have them both.

Lars

Rizzo is solid and a very good and underrated prospect… but in a sense he doesn’t have much room to grow his game. He’s pretty much maxed out his tools already. For Lars… the sky is the ceiling. Plus plus power, phenomenal contact skills and super patient.
