I still don't agree with Sean O's complete hate and disdain for Beckett, but for tonight at least I'm in his camp of not looking forward to this start with any real excitement.
His last performance against the Yankees went from 60 to 0 faster then a Dice K implosion. There was a seeming lack of professionalism, a tantrum of sorts almost on the hill, and just a terrible, terrible outing.
On one hand getting him out in front of the NY audience is the perfect setting for his mentality to rebound and kick in.
On the other hand, Yankee Stadium could also be a place that further implodes Beckett for '10.
If he struggles again tonight, it's going to be an interesting couple weeks.
