Well
Had tickets to today’s PawSox game. Didn’t go because of Strasburg. Was excited to see Nava, too, and he gets pulled. Just not a good day…

Good thing you didn't go to see Nava.
That would’ve been a double whammy.

Bonser v. Daisuke.
I still take Dice-K. Bonser is a waste of space on the 40 man. Sure Dice-K has struggled, but in all of those poor outings it was that ONE poor inning that killed him. Once he gets that ONE inning down, he will be as dominant as he was in Japan. HE’s still got time.
If you take out that ONE poor nning per start his ERA is so small, that he could lead Red Sox starters. Alas, it is a shame he doesn’t have that under control.
On to Bonser. I like the guy, I mean he was always interesting to watch when he was with the Twins. But following the injury, he just seems to have lost it, doesn’t look the same on the mound. Overall, I would say while he may be effective against AAA hitters, he wil be useless against MLB hitters.
One thing worth noting is that players in AAA don’t always hold up to their stats, as I recall we have a guy named Michael Bowden on the 40 man roster. This guy, happens to do well against AAA hitters, but in the Majors? You have a better chance getting the Yankees to trade away Derek Jeter.
I honestly hope Bowden does pull it together, but for now he is an example in Bonser’s case. Keep Dice-K. You never know what you get with him, but with Bonser, you know you will fail.
