Beckett extetnsion today

PrintThe Red Sox have announced that they will be holding a press conference today regarding Josh Beckett, and Ian Browne tweets that they will announce a 4-year, $68MM extension for 2011-2014 ($17MM AAV). Personally, I love the deal. I think it's safe to say that Beckett would have gotten a fifth year at a higher salary on the open market. Sure it's a lot of money, but this looks like a home town discount to me. Beckett, Lester, Lackey, and Buchholz (I think) are under team control through 2014.
How long before we start hearing about an extension for V-Mart?
