Game 1, Overflow Thread 3: Dustin Pedroia Hits Bombs and Posada Drops Balls

Dustin Pedroia hits bombs and you must just accept it.

Pedroia hit a two-run home run with one out in the 7th to tie the game, 7-7. Kevin Youkilis followed two batters later with a wall-scraping double, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored the same way to give the Red Sox their first lead, 8-7.

Daniel Bard is coming into the ballgame to pitch the 8th.

What a MOther effing game

This offense can’t hit?

"That was a lot of fun… You just keep pounding balls into the gap. The one thing you don’t want to do is hit a home run. That’s a rally-killer." Jeff Francoeur

Over before midnight!

...and if I do it again, it's a 10 day suspension.

The one thing that made me sad

Was seeing ryan westmoreland. He looked far from ok and i dont know how they expect him to recover

by stallone on Apr 5, 2010 12:01 AM EDT reply actions

he is young. Remember Lester

You can never have too much pitching.

by Pesky Fan on Apr 5, 2010 12:02 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah i know but

This is brain surgery. Watching him reminded me of kevin everet (the guy who got paralyzed for the buffalo bills) he could move but his movements were choppy and slow

by stallone on Apr 5, 2010 12:04 AM EDT up reply actions

I had jaw surgery

A week before Westmoreland, and even I don’t feel comfortable going to Fenway yet. He had brain surgery a week after mine, and is there.

While it was very sad to see how dazed he seemed, it’s still very early. I can’t imagine what something like that, especially in the brain stem, must do to immediate movement.
