Just to reiterate:
The only time that bunting is a good idea is from 2nd to 3rd with 0 outs in a 1-run game.
USG
1-run or tie, that is, and then only in very late innings.

From the Denmark conversation
Well…. this is wicked off topic… but I was answering GermanRedSoxFan’s question about Germany and the US…. from our conversation about Denmark. I know that Germany is much cheaper than Denmark, but it all depends on the exchange rate with the Euro to dollars… right now I think it’s about 1.3 Euros to the dollar.
And upCHUCK…. I like the bastion/fortification between Amager and Christianshavn to run around.
And of course… running along Amager Beach towards the airport.
@revived Oswalt vs Peavy
Oswalt 3.65 xFIP
Peavy 5.92 xFIP
Price 4.51 xFIP (without todays 9ip 4h 1BB 9K)
Scherzer 4.38
Billingsley 4.46
add to that peavy is in a hitters park with a history of injuries

15 innings of scoreless relief from a bullpen
Means that you’re going to have games where they give up 3, 4, of more runs, even if the bullpen has a 3.0 ERA.
Doesn’t mean that it’s not a $!#%£€ to watch, but it’s gonna happen.

I’m feeling Matt Capps at the deadline. Capps and Wake could straighten them out.

yeah…. I feel like they can fill the same role… either 5th starter, long reliever or spot start. I couldn’t watch Buccholz the other night cause it was a 7pm game, but with 10Ks, it looked like he pitched well. I think Wake pitched well today too, I tuned in when the bullpen took over.
But hopefully moving Wake to the pen will give us some depth.
It will also be interesting to see how Dice-K pitches.
Yeah Dice-k was ok in his last outing, not too impressive. Im a little worried about him. Id almost like to see him in a bullpen role.

the bullpen was disgustingly bad.
Thats what frustrates me. Ive been positive in this stretch, but the bullpen has sucked.
