I give credit to Francona for finally
shaking things up and trying new personnel. However, It was Wakefield’s slow pitching, poor predictability, and easily hit balls that led to the 6 runs in the first place. My God, they tied a team historical record for steals given up by the Sox! Pitiful. He just is not a major league caliber starter now, and surely most fans can see this now!
A lot of it was Wake, yes.
But Value-less-Mart contributed a lot with a huge lack of defense.
