Minor Lines 4/14/10: Ryne Miller Starts, Nobody Cares
Pawtucket L 2-8
Box Score
Pawtucket is where pitching goes to die this year, it seems. God help Bowden.
Josh Reddick: 0-4

Mark Wagner: 1-4
Aaron Bates: 0-4, 3 K
Daniel Nava: 1-4, K
Adam Mills: 5 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Kris Johnson: 3 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
Lars again doesn't totally suck after the jump.
Portland W 3-1
Ryne Miller day! Everyone look disinterested!
Ryan Kalish: 1-5, 2 K
Jose Iglesias: 0-2
Yamaico Navarro: 1-3, HR, BB
Lars Anderson: 1-3, BB
-He's hitting them in the air this year. First walk too.
Jason Place: 1-4, 2 K
Jason Rice: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
Salem L 3-5
Pete Hissey: 0-4, K
Anthony Rizzo: 1-4, K
Ryan Lavarnway: 2-4, 2B
Will Middlebrooks: 1-3, 2B, BB, K
-Another walk! Adding that 6th tool to his repertoire would be huge.
Oscar Tejeda: 0-1, K
-First game without 2 hits, but he only got 1 AB, so that's OK I guess.
Brock Huntzinger: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 1 K
-Awwww
Greenville W 6-2
So many breakout candidates, so little time.

If you mean Miller
It’s because he’s definitely the weak link between Kelly, Doubront, Weiland, and Fife.

But hey, he still put up a good line.
Not everybody can be an ace. Being consistently near-average can pay in the long run. (Mr. Wakefield will be teaching that course in a few years, I imagine.)

I'm getting a little excited about Lars...
If he hits 2 HRs over 3 games or something like that soon I might freak.

He's only been hitting singles though.
Wouldn’t get too worked up just yet. His numbers kinda suck TBH.

Question
Where are the daily links?
Westmoreland recently asked his son how he was feeling, and the response the father received didn't surprise him. "I'm going to be in Portland next year," Ryan said.
Let's not talk about that...

Britton threw 59 pitches, 9 of them generated swings and misses
That. is. sexy!

So when do you progress from merely sexy to downright swoon-worthy?

To save Bowden, can the Sox send him down to Portland or something?
