- Bill Hall LF
Expected in relief: Scott Schoeneweis, Alan Embree and Joe Nelson (bullpen decided TONIGHT!).
The game is on both NESN and MLB Network tonight.

Not at all.
It was a delayed double steal. Pedroia was caught dead to rights. The more they have to react and throw the ball elsewhere, the more likely they are to screw up.

but there is more emphasis on defense it would appear now than when I was younger. Fundamentals were all that mattered then.

Only 8 years ago, some of the smarter baseball minds thought that fielding was about 5% of the game.
That’s proving to not really be true, but it’s a fairly recent development.
