Community Projections 2010: Mike Cameron
Mike Cameron is one of the best defensive center fielders in baseball, but how will he perform with the bat.
Cameron has always been a low-average, high-homer, high-strikeout kind of guy. Will Fenway be friendly to him this year, or will we see the average numbers out of Cameron? Cameron also isn't a rookie, so will his age finally catch up to him?

its more of a doubles park than a homer park

I actually misread his recent PA and AB numbers.
I was counting on increased AB numbers giving him the natural bump in HRs (from 24-25 to 29-30) with the doubles giving him the boost in slugging.

Which is to say I read his AB numbers as his PA numbers.
I blame ESPN. =\

he'll frustrate at times against righties, but against lefties? In this park?
PA: 610 (He’s durable. 600+ PAs in 8 of last 11 years)

I think he’ll get a bit better power out of Fenway, but Francona will sit him a few more times than he has lately- makes sense against some righties to slide Ellsbury over to center and Hermida in left, giving Ells more CF experience and resting up the aging Cameron. I see his non-counting numbers improving a bit because he will be facing a little higher percentage of lefties.
When I originaly did these it was assuming he'd bat 8th.
