O's, Hernandez Beat Batless Red Sox
Another day with not much offense from the Sox.
Behind a great start from David Hernandez (5 IP, 4 H, 6 SO), the Orioles dropped the Sox, 6-1, on Saturday.
The Sox did get a great start from John Lackey, who surrendered his first runs of the spring. Lackey went six innings and allowed two runs, six hits, no walks and struck out three. His spring ERA sits at 1.20.
Dustin Pedroia returned from his injury to go 1 for 4 with a strikeout.
Offensively there was a whole lot of nothing. Nobody had more than one hit and Adrian Beltre led all Sox with getting on base twice -- a hit and a walk.
Alan Embree, making his first appearance with the Sox, blew up accordingly. He gave up three runs on two hits and a walk in .2 innings of work. Congratulations, Embree! You still got it!
Sox play the Twins Sunday at 1:05 p.m. The game will be on both NESN and MLB Network.

Yes, that's the Embree I remember
If he makes the team, the Sox really ought to demand the MFY pay his salary.
Still need a SS and a Lefty in the pen
and still need to release Lowell before opening night
The Red Sox offense isn't an issue,- until its an issue.
ugh ... bad feeling
Please convince me that Embree is not going to stay …
Embree is a joke. There are better options in Pawtucket.
