Matsuzaka Solid in Sox Win Over Marlins
Daisuke Matsuzaka is back on the hill and chuckin'.
Dice-K allowed one run in two innings of relief in the Red Sox's 6-4 win over the Marlins on Thursday. He allowed two hits, but didn't walk or strikeout a batter. This was Dice-K's first game action of the spring. He is expected to pitch three more innings on Monday.
Tim Wakefield started and put together another good performance for Boston. He went six innings and allowed just three runs, six hits and two walks. He struck out five on the day.
Offensively, the Sox were aided by a two-RBI triple by Marco Scutaro. Jacoby Ellsbury had a 2 for 4 day with a double and he scored a run. Kevin Youkilis, Adrian Beltre and Jeremy Hermida all had two hits a piece on the game.
Sox continue this loooong spring training with a 1:05 p.m. game against the Blue Jays (who are split-squadin' it) on Friday.

Nice
Love to see Dice-K throwing well. Just bolsters an already solid rotation. Love to get him to turn it around, we all know what he’s capable of.
Whoever said it doesn't matter whether you win or lose, probably lost.
Whoops
I started a recap about the exact same time as you posted this one. That’s a waste.
Oh well. Good to see the starters swinging the bats well.
