Iwamura is determined to kill us no matter who he plays for, even in ST.
Oh well. Hall hits a homer. It’s 2006 all over again!

And so does Cameron.
Chicks dig the long ball.

Chicks seem to dig Ellsbury
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

I'm liking Hermida more than I expected
I didn’t at the beginning, but when I’ve watched him I like his plate approach. Still not sure he makes the most sense, but hopefully he’ll do well.
There is a lot to like
He’s still fairly young, has good power and could put it together….likely not as a full-timer with the Sox but he could be put into a package if necessary at mid-season
oh yeah definitely has a lot to like
just doesn’t seem to have the qualities that the Sox would want in a 4th OF (weak defense, lefty hitter without great L/R splits)
He had really good L/R splits in the minors.
OPS >1 against righties. If they’re gambling on his potential, they could well be hoping the breakout gives him plenty of value as a lefty pinch hitter in late innings. Especially with guys like Cameron on the team.

Plus, between a 37-year-old center fielder and J.D. Drew, who Tito likes to get plenty of rest
Hermida could really get a lot of playing time. He’s what they want there in that he’s a starter-type who hasn’t quite put it all together. Same as Rocco, but with higher upside and none of the medical issues.

Guys suddenly showing power at his age is far from unheard of.
Power will always boost your average some and OBP some. He could still end up being the Jeremy Hermida of old expectations.

He's great.
I came into the spring expecting him to look like a fish out of water on offense. But he’s got a really good swing, can make plenty of contact, and hits for extra bases. If he can take a few pitches, get ahead in the count consistently, he’s going to be a really valuable player.
