Dusty Brown is 'One Bad Season Away' From A Day Job
I found out literally seconds ago that Red Sox catching prospect Dusty Brown is on Twitter. Naturally, I have to follow Mr. Brown and his exploits. As I was in the process of doing this, I caught a glimpse of his bio which made me literally LOL:
I'm one bad season away from having a day job!!
You got to love the honesty. If you're reading this Dusty, we're all pulling for you.

Honesty
How about this: a solid defensive catcher who’s already had a couple decent AAA years like Brown is probably a decent bet for a backup catcher bouncing around MLB for a few years and depending on his smarts, somebody who could make a coach or manager. That road has been taken by many a backup or starting catcher before.
So Dusty, keep your chin up and don’t quit your current day job!
Agreed
There’s always room for good defensive catchers. Brown will make the rounds in the bigs before he’s done.

Are you kidding?
Do you know how excited I would be if I worked in a profession were people like Omar Minaya might potentially give me a multi-million dollar contract? I mean, it’s Omar Minaya – the guy’s practically functionally retarded. By which I mean he can almost function.
Seriously, though, best of luck to Dusty Brown…
Rock me, sexy Jesus...
