No Game: Red Sox, Cardinals Called Due to Rain

Annnnnd that's all she wrote.

Red Sox and Cardinals game scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday has been called. It will be made up as a split-squad game on March 22.

Clay Buchholz was scheduled to pitch today, but will instead pitch tomorrow at 1 p.m. against the Pirates (which will be on NESN ... and I'm hoping I have cable by then so I can watch. Damn, Comcast.)

I think at this point they want the starters pitching as many innings as they're comfortable

so it could be tough to fit two in for a game at this point- note only three pitchers were scheduled for today

True, but it included Boof Bonser.

Seems like a piggy-backed start. After all, Lackey was on an innings limit yesterday.

I really want to have cable installed NOW (supposed to be done this morning…)

Bowden + Buchholz? Yes, please.

offseason package??

Wasn’t aware that was available! Do they archive the games? Can you view old ones still? Or condensed at least?

yeah you can view all the old games

it’s pretty sweet. I don’t think you can get it anymore since the season package is available now, but it’s an awesome deal- all the ST games with no blackouts plus all the archived games for just $20.

Weak.

Argh. I hate rainouts.

Jupiter

I went to a Sox game in Jupiter a few years ago and it got rained out. Seems to be a popular place for the game to be canceled.
