ST Game Thread: Red Sox @ Mets -- 3/11/10
The game is on TV today, or so I hear. MLBN has it, and without blackout issues apparently.
Lot of starters in the lineup for the Sox today, and Lackey on the mound.

And on the SNY feed?
Weirder and weirder. This spring training has just been a disaster for NESN and MLB network as far as showing the games
Just checked the boxscore:
CB Bucknor is the 1B ump today. How does that guy still have a job?
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

I'm gonna have to post a lot more to maintain my 90% rate in these topics.
But it’s on TV, so I probably won’t manage.

Red Sox have the 3rd most walks in ST to this point. 2nd most per game, I believe.

I'll put you through hell, but at the end of it all we'll be champions.
Lackey stops hitting the zone against Lackey, and has to throw one to Wright 2-0.
Wright smacks it to the warning track where Drew gets turned around by the wind and has to reach down at his knees to snag it.
3-0 Sox, top of the 2nd.

Stoner has just been ejected from the contest. same as tazawa and maybe bowden

Tazawa and Bowden are both at or near major league level.
Doubront is still in AAA.
USG
by Ben Buchanan on Mar 11, 2010 4:05 PM EST up reply actions
Yes, but that just means there's more time to screw up.
Cieling doesn’t usually change as you go through the majors, so it’s actually preferable to trade a year for a level, as it were. That way, you’re more of a sure thing to at least reach the majors.
He’s a viable pitcher, and one worth following, I just think he’s being overrated by some guys who sort of key in on him as a marquee name.

Defensive miscommunication between Velazquez and Navarro leads to an ill-advised throw off the mark.
But Doubront gets a quick grounder from Bowman to get out of the inning. Solid outing for Doubront, if he’s done.

He had an awful start last year in Greenville, but if ever there’s been a 4th round pick with good potential who’s flown under the radar, it’s him.
