How have the Red Sox managed to put up with this joker year after year? Why haven't they given him the boot like they did to John Smoltz and Julio Lugo? I mean, look at the absolutely pathetic numbers he's put up over the last two seasons:

• OPS+ of 137 and 133
• 43 HR's
• An OBP of nearly .400
• 4.15 pitches per PA
• An average of 4.5 WAR

And that doesn't even count the atrocities with his glove: all kinds of balls caught, but he doesn't work hard to make it look like a highlight reel catch, so his tremendous range doesn't matter and obviously he's not even trying.

He's also clearly a clubhouse cancer, and is constantly getting ratted out by fellow players, Tito, and Theo. I mean, take a look at all the horror stories about his off-the-field antics!

Not to mention the fact that he's made of glass and runs like he has cement overshoes on ALL THE TIME.

Drew is obviously the biggest obstacle standing between the Olde Towne Team and a return engagement to the World Series.
