Over the Monster Top 20 Prospects Voting #17: 16 Is the New 3
Coming out of last year's draft, there seems to have been as much about David Renfroe as there was about Reymond Fuentes, despite being picked 2 rounds and 78 players later. If you voters are indicative of anything, then not much has changed since then. Renfroe, for his part, brings a strong all-around offensive gameas well as an above average glove at third. While Renfroe can also pitch, neither he nor the Sox want him on the mound, so we shouldn't have any Casey Kelly issues there.
4 to go, and then, believe it or not, the Red Sox will actually play baseball! Maybe not a real game, maybe not even against a major league team, but baseball!
Prospect write-ups can, as always, be found here. The list-to-date can, as always, be found on the left side of the main page.

No arguments here. Especially if the reports of his fastball sitting around 94 and hitting 98 now are true.
Guy can pound the strike zone with heat. Just needs a good 3rd pitch. He’s actually in a group of new write-ups I have all-but-ready-to-go.

We had this conversation a couple of days ago. You convinced me. Roman is #17

Going with the lower cieling.
But I expect him in the pen this year contributing: Richardson. (and Ben, I think I voted twice)

Wilson
I went with Alex Wilson. Not sure why, to be honest. I think he has a higher ceiling than Richardson. Maybe Wilson is better for the 19 spot or so, but I figured I’d vote for him.
Roman is solid and will probably climb up the rankings over the course of the year.
Fed-Ex should be cracking this finally four list, too.

I'd actually be surprised to see Fed-Ex crack the final 4
I have Roman Mendez, Madison Younginer, Alex Wilson, and then Derrick Gibson. Gibson and Fed-Ex could almost interchangable to me though….
