yeah, I'm rooting for this guy like crazy.
He should be an ace for them. Also, the brilliance of this offseason so far cannot be overstated. We basically traded Kelly for Gonzo straight up, since we replaced Rizzo and Fuentes with our giant acquisitions.

Didn't want to start a thread w/out a link...
so I figured I’d put it in the most recent item – People on twitter are saying reports out of Toronto say we signed Downs.
There is a thread in the fanposts
But I don’t give it much credibility. I think what likely happened is some Toronto station said “Red Sox favorites to land Downs” and someone interpreted that as “Red Sox land Downs.” Not one major source has confirmed it.

Although Ed Price did also say last night Sox are “expected to land Downs.”
I'm thinking this is the best thing for Kelly.
He gets to be THE MAN without having the kind of media attention he’d get in Boston. He and Latos are going to be like Buch and Lester in the NL.
