Welcoming In Four New Writers

Hello Over The Monster readers, I'd like to introduce you to our four new writers.

Alright, so "introduce" isn't quite right. You already know three of them pretty well.

So, please welcome:

  • Radiohix (who has promised me that not every piece will be on Che-Hsuan Lin),
  • Lone1C (conspiracy theorist/satirist/occasional medieval poet)
  • PacoL250 (I admit, he was chosen purely for his Hobbes avatar. Maybe.)
  • and Matt Sullivan/Boston's10thMan (From Beyond the Boxscore and the fanpost section respectively)

We're glad to have them all aboard going forward, stretching out the bottom of the page to slightly ridiculous proportions and, more importantly, making Over The Monster the best site it can be.

Thank you Ben,

for the introduction and for this very exciting opportunity. I look forward to sharing my views and analysis with everyone here.

Breaking News: Two new OTM writers sent to 60-day DL

A tragic report from the blogosphere: a freak back-slapping and high-fiving incident led new OTM writers to be sent to the 60-day DL just hours after their appointment as new writers.

“It was awful. Radiohix was trying to high-five MattSullivan in the middle of a difficult self-back-pat. We could hear the carpal tunnel all the way across the clubhouse,” said OTM manager Ben Buchanan. “It’s tough to lose two strong contributors to the team so soon after their arrival, but we’ll make do the best we can. We hope they’ll be ready in time for spring training.”

This marks the second time in recent years that a victory celebration has turned sour at OTM. However, Buchanan was reluctant to discuss the other incident, citing confidentiality concerns as well as not wanting to incur the risk of Adrian Beltre coming after him in a head-rubbing-induced rage.

Congrats All!

Four new writers who are very active and know their stuff, OTM has just taken a large leap forward. Best of luck to the “new” guys and remember, wrist braces, while looking nerdy, will save you a lot of pain down the line.

No pain, no gain.

I have an ergonomic wrist pad for my keyboard and mouse at work so I’m not too worried about my personal laptop.

Thanks to all!

Especially to Ben. Honestly didn’t think I’d get the nod, but stranger things have happened. :-)

So Ben, are you saying we can bribe you with Calvin & Hobbes material? :-P
