Last season the Red Sox brought in such names as Mike Cameron, Marco Scutaro, John Lackey, Jermey Hermida and Adrian Beltre among others. You have to figure that with the holes in the roster and the dearth of relievers that this year's version will consist of at least 5 new players who will make a mark on the 2011 season. So

"Pick 5"

Your objective is to pick 5 players that will make the opening day roster for the Sox in 2011 that are not currently on the 40-man roster (or signed to a minor league deal).

RULES:

1. Post your 5 picks and feel free to elaborate on your picks in your post

2. Feel free to heckle or laud others picks but please make sure you do as a reply under their original post

3. Bets end on 11:59pm Friday, December 3rd or when an acquisition comes through - whichever comes first

4. You receive 1 pt per player that the Sox sign and that sticks with the team (makes opening day roster)

5, Tie-breaker will be done by cummulative 2011 salaries (winner = the higher cummulative salary)
