Cancer-Free, Dave Roberts Returns To The Field
Earlier this year, it came to light that Dave Roberts, perpetrator of The Steal in the 2004 ALCS, had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. With it having been caught early, however, Robert's prognosis was positive.
Half-a-year later, and the Associated Press is reporting that Roberts is now cancer-free and ready to return to the field as the Padre's first-base coach. Score another one for current Sox and former Sox heroes against cancer.
Good luck to Dave in San Diego. There's a lot of Sox alumni over there already in the front office, so what's one more on the field?

I was so sad when I heard about Roberts, when I was on my way to Fenway for a game. Thrilled that he’s in remission.
All the best to Dave.
This is great news.
Galactus does as he pleases. Because Galactus is drunk.
