I don't think this is the greatest idea, given the chaos of Manchester United with the Glazers, and the huge outlay of expenses for a Premier League team. This could effect the Sox's payroll.
However, given that a Premier League team could worth over a billion dollars in a couple years, if the revenue is used correctly. The top football teams in the world are Manchester United and Liverpool, with AC Milan and FC Barcelona not that far behind.
Tom Hicks is in beyond a tight spot, so he may not have a great court case to block this, but taking over a Premier League top club, is going to take Henry's focus off the Red Sox. Running a crown jewel of Major League Baseball is enough of a headache, adding one of the top Premier League teams, is going end with a couple heart attacks and a damaged liver.
