Hey guys and gals,
Now that Theo seems to be close to setting the 2010 roster and the holiday season is over I figured we could see what has been keeping us all busy. There was no AGonz wrapped under the tree with care this Christmas, but hopefully St. Nick (or whoever your respective Holiday Gift Bringing is) brought you some other good sources of entertainment to keep you busy amongst the rampant trade speculations.
It seems like the first attempt at an Entertainment corner was succesful so I'm bringing it back once again (this should also help my putrid posting stats as evidenced in Randy's nice user rankings over here).
Here's what I've been doing instead of posting on a more consistent basis. Remember, you do not need to follow my categories to a T and the term "playing" does not simply refer to video games.
What am I playing: If you play video games and are not worried about how to fit all of the awesome games dropping in the beginning of 2010 in, well then I'm not sure what games you plan on playing. Myself personally, I am finishing up the epic fantasy game Dragon Age Origins before moving onto the beautifully violent Assassin's Creed II. That is if my roommates favorable reviews of Darksiders doesn't pull me into that one first. All three games deserve a look by any fan of the video game genre. I also got a nice parody of an RPG boardgame called Munchkinquest.
What am I reading: Plowing through the Gotrek and Felix Warhammer novel still, as well as reading Son of a Witch, the sequel to Wicked, in my spare time.
What am I listening to: I have picked up a variety of bands that have hooked me over the past month or so. If anybody enjoyed my Format recc in the last post, I would also suggest some Limbeck and Steel Train, but especially this band called fun. who released their debut album Aim and Ignite to critical acclaim in 2009. All three have provided me with enjoyable music in the vein of Format. While they're not as similiar, I'm going to throw the band The National in there as well, just because they have some very simple yet great music.
What am I watching: So I'm a 27 year old guy and I happen to be watching an older show staring Claire Danes as a high schooler in My So Called Life. Big whoop, want to fight about it? Claire Danes is pretty attractive, even as an angsty teenager, but then again, what teenage girl isn't...angsty that is.
