Minor Lines 8/7, 8/8 -- No Refuge Available
They may not've sucked as much as the majors, but with Kalish and Westmoreland going 0-7, and general suckiness for most guys not behind the plate, it's been a bad couple of days.
Oh, and Lars Anderson has a tight Hamstring and still sucks this season.

Team stat
1 guy goes 5-5 with a couple doubles and gets 0 RBIs because he plays in Pawtucket and nobody gets on around him.
The other guy goes 1-5 but has 2 guys on second and third because he bats behind Reddick and Kalish in Pawtucket (*COUGH*JON STILL*COUGH*)
RBIs can be hugely misleading as to the actual quality or ability of a player. Hell, you can talk about clutch, but generally speaking having runners on helps a guy get a hit anyway. Pitchers aren’t as good out of the stretch, defenses play oddly to account for runners, etc.
A player can hit well for average. They can hit well for power. They can get on base with regularity. They can steal bases. These are all skills, in my opinion. Being a “run producer” is largely dependent on other people, so I pass on it.

Addendum:
The minor lines are, due to the nature of prospect watching, primarily about the individuals, not the actual team. The W/L is just something I throw in extra. Really, though, it doesn’t matter how good or bad any team does, because these are all just ways to give playing and development time to individual prospects. It’s all about how close they are to major league ready.
