Game 124: Offense rolls over White Sox, Contreras
White Sox vs Red Sox recap
White Sox vs Red Sox boxscore
I think it's safe to say the offense is on somewhat of a roll.
Behind a six-run third inning, the Red Sox beat the White Sox, 12-8, on Monday night.
Dustin Pedroia went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Mike Lowell hit a three-run home run in the third. J.D. Drew had a solo shot in the seventh. Alex Gonzalez had three hits and both Jacoby Ellsbury and Kevin Youkilis had two.
Clay Buchholz got rocked in his start. He went 4.2 innings and gave up 7 runs. A tough start for a guy that has looked so good recently.
This was a good win by the offense. Buchholz struggled and, on a normal night, the Sox offense wouldn't be able to pick him up, but tonight they did. The Sox have scored at least 8 runs in four of their last five games. That's a damn good offense, in my opinion.
Series continues Tuesday at 7:10.

Ramirez is 7-3 in W-L...
that’s a substantial amount of decisions for a reliever, right? I mean, great that they’re wins, but that certainly says unflattering things about our starters…

Yeah, I thought the same thing last night. You can see where the games are being decided…

Or about him.
He gets the W if he lets the other team tie the game or take the lead and the offense picks him up.
