Overflow Thread: 8/21 vs. MFY

The comeback will happen.

EDIT: It didn't. I was wrong. Sue me.

Also, I'm lazy and there isn't a lot of new stuff for the Laundry, so here:

Ells Ties Harper's Record - MLB.com

Cool. Walk more often, Ells, and you can steal second a lot more often too!

Slider helps earn Bowden a recall from Pawtucket - ProJo

Bye, kid. Nice seein' ya.

Rice fires high, hard one at present-day ballplayers - ProJo

"What you see right now is more individuals, it’s not a team," Rice said. "Now you have guys coming in, they pick the days they want to play, they make big money.

"The first thing they see," Rice said, "are dollar bills."

Guess who he names as examples.

Do the normal Laundry thing in the comments.

Oh I'm listening to mathmatics

Of MOS DEF (black on both sides), one of the beat hip hop pieces of all time!

4. Moment of Truth – Gangstarr
5. Ironman – Ghostface

They arent all monumental albums except the first two.

but those are the top hip hop albums that changed me

And the Ghostface album can be substituted for almost any Wu Tang solo release (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, Tical, etc..)

Good choices

Black on Both Sides was good, but I have always been more into the grimey street stuff. I cant stand the modern gangsta rap, but the rawness of Wu Tang and Big L will always have a spot inside of me.

Forgot all about NWA though. Great CD

This is so depressing.

Other than that? IDK.

Ha

Random story: Before I really cared about sports, I once rooted for the Steelers. It was Super Bowl XL, and my elementary school’s Steeler fan principal said we’d get a day with no HW if they won. I would never do that now.

Pittsburgh is the enemy of Balt/Wash teams

3 of the Pirates’ World Series wins were against the O’s or Sens. The Steelers and Ravens are archrivals, and the Steeler fans embarassed the Skins’ fans by taking over FedEx Field. And of course, the Caps hate the Pens.

No, the bright side is that Ryan "Manifest Destiny" Westmoreland went yard again in the Spinners comeback

And no, he will NOT be traded along with Kelly for Adrian Gonzalez. No matter how hard you wish.
