Woken up yet?

Today's game was interesting. First of all Youkilis charging the mound fired sox fans and the team. Even though he was ejected (and will probably be suspended) Lowell did his job stepping up and hitting 2 home runs. Jason Bay also has now hit 2 home runs in 2 games. His bat may be starting to come alive after his month and a half slump. This is a good opportunity for the sox to use this as a spark for their offense to get going, and their mental aspect.

We need those hot bats

If Youk is going away for 5 games, which I suspect he is.

Fired Up

I think that what Youk did was neccessary for this team to survive. He went out there and showed the rest of the team that he was still intent on “putting up a fight” this season and wasn’t giving up. Yes, his probable suspension will be a little rough since he was our most versatile player and allowed up to do so much with the starting line up each game but I think it will do far more good than bad.

Also, how badass was it for Tazawa to go out there and pitch that great game in his first ML start? I thought it was a great performance (after the 1st inning of course) and he made a case for himself to stick around if wake needs a little more time. I do feel horribly for Bowden though, he was supposed to be the next pitcher but was totally leap frogged.

These last two games have certainly restored a little hope to my worlds.

Is it bad...

that all I could think was “Please don’t throw a no-hitter.”

It’s a different world in the Clay Bucholz era.

I was hoping for something like this during the Yankees series, still, this is a huge momentum builder.

I thought it was just what they needed

I’ve been calling for a fight for about a week. I had hoped it would be against the Yankees but unfortunately Joba didn’t oblige.
