Game 102: Sox comeback to beat O's
Red Sox vs Orioles recap
Red Sox vs Orioles boxscore
The offense has shown up and it's here to stay ... at least for now.
The Sox beat the O's 6-5 on Friday behind 11 hits. Jacoby Ellsbury and Kevin Youkilis each had three hits, scored two runs and hit a home run each. David Ortiz also had a home run.
Ellsbury also had a great catch to rob a Luke Scott home run.
John Smoltz was on the hill and struggled. He gave up five runs in six innings of work, while also allowing eight hits, no walks and K'ing two. Ramon Ramirez and Hideki Okajima pitched well in relief, while Jonathan Papelbon earned his 27th save with two strikeouts in the ninth inning.
Josh Beckett is on the hill against the O's tonight at 7:05 p.m.
