Let’s hope the lineup brings some O today!

Wakefield is facing his biggest nemesis.

This ump

Has way too high of a strike zone.

Wow! Papi CRUSHED that ball!

All the way to the infield dirt.

Did the Braves forget how to play basic defense? Because they did everything they could to blow the next play too.

Huge mistake by Tito

You can’t have RamRam face left-handed hitters.

I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

by Drugs Delaney on Jun 21, 2009 3:21 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Oki then?

He doesn’t trust Masterson or Bard against lefties, either.

by lone1c on Jun 21, 2009 3:23 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Oki or MDC

Both are good against hitters from both sides of the plate. RamRam is only effective against righties, and has been throughout his career.

I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

We are lucky!

Drew should have K’d (called a ball) and doubles on the next pitch. I know why Cox and Jones are mad.

I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

The umpiring has been inconsistent through the hole game

They made bad calls favoring the 2 teams!

I think Cashman is more an Orc Soldier to Lord Sauron, I mean Lord Steinbrenners

Some of the Pittsburgh trade that the Cashman did last year was kind of interesting. The Yankees main problem is trying to find one panacea player. The wheel dealing trading for a high price player with a year or two in their contract left like Abreu. They should put Jackson in Centerfield, trade Damon before the deadline at the end of July, move Cabrera to left, and dump half their relief staff into the east river with cement boots.

It also doesn’t help that their two top pitching prospects flamed out last year, with one getting back to his old self (Hughes)..

If you take away the NY media hype (“Joba Rules”, the mega free agent signings) The Yankees have some problems that the Sox were dealt with alot, mainly in the 1980s, unpredictable starting pitching, and huge holes in the bullpen with a pretty decent closer, (Bob Stanley). The Yankees should look for lots of relief help during the off season, and fire Giriardi, because he is not mananging his bullpen well. Crappy bullpen or not, as manager he needs to make the best out of his pitching staff.

I hate early starts

Only was able to catch half of this game. Good win, solid walkoff. Should have been a sweep if not for Dice-K.

Wow, not much activity today.

Great game to watch, if frustrating. MFY lost too – 4 games up.
