Game 66: Wow. That's a crappy way to lose
Marlins vs Red Sox coverage
Marlins vs Red Sox recap
So a guy with a mid-7 ERA dominated the Red Sox tonight and the Sox lose, 2-1, in a rain shortened game.
Gotta' love a loss like that.
Not much to say about this one. Jon Lester made two mistakes: two pitches that went for home runs. The Red Sox had just one hit -- a Kevin Youkilis home run.
And, once again, the Red Sox bullpen was spotless!
Eh. Horrible game, but the Sox start a series with the Braves Friday at 7:10. Daisuke Matsuzaka will be on the hill.

Mother Nature bails out the Marlins, giving them confidence by taking a game against arguably the games best team in their home park.
Y'know
They DID play better than us through those 5 innings. I mean, sure, we didnt’ get to exploit out greatest strength (bullpen matchups), but we only scored 1 run through 5.
That’s a legit win.

It was a 5-inning rain-shortened game
That probably wouldn’t have been played except for the fact that it was the final game of a three-game series against two teams that won’t play each other again because of the interleague system. If this had been an AL East game, you can bet it would have been postponed until later in the season.
Yet another problem with interleague play
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Just for the record, Nolasco's a pretty good pitcher.
He struggled some this year, hence his high… ERA , but he’s been a pretty good pitcher for a season or two, IIRC.
