OK, I guess I'll also say that that was a filthy inning by Wake.

Even if he doesn't we all know that he'll come up of his slump big!

yeah
he just needs to go with pitches more and shoot stuff the other way
This season he has shown
A remarkable ability to be, as someone put it, “Crazy Knuckleballing Man of Mystery” and get out of jams.

I'm pretty sure Ramirez-Uggla
is the worst defensive middle-infield in the majors. And one of the best offensive ones.

So does Lugo.

Anyone can steal on the combination of Wake and Kottaras. Kottaras can’t throw.

And how much the Marlins' broadcast team rambles.
At least they’re praising Wake right now, talking about his charitable work.
I hate when the Soxs play Florida teams.
I’m forced to watch the games on the Florida station.
I agree about them rambling, these guys are killing me.
Very cool
My girlfriend grew up in the Tampa area, and her family is all still over there.
So we make the driver on I4 over to around your area all the time. lol
Oddly...
I try to plan our visits around the days the Red Soxs are going to be at Tropicana.
One of very few reasons to travel across the Bay, IMO.
Pinellas County doesn’t impress me that much.
You see, was that is sister?
You think if your getting interviewed on TV you could at least put the Hot dog down.
Marlins doing an email Q+A thing, latest question was about why MFY and Sox don't ever where NOB for jerseys.
Besides the fact that we do wear them on the road, it took the announcer a while to get around to “They’re good fans here and they know the players.” Funniest part is the guy who wrote in was talking about how it infuriated his wife – dude, explain it to your wife yourself, and be thankful she has any sort of interest in sports.
in my book, Evreything Bay does is cool

Ya 3 RBI
Wasn’t he up to bat twice that inning?
HR = 1 RBI
Knocked in two the 2nd time.
(I meant RBIs at both is attempts that inning)
what is Eck talking about?
No dvr on TV in the computer room so I can’t rewind…did he say trading Beckett was a possible scenario?
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."

He was talking about the 6-man rotation the Sox are likely to go to next week
I think he was talking about a trade off of rest v. keeping pitchers sharp.

Kottaras is sneaky.
Pushes the ball fair, and THEN tags out Gload. (Since he’s such a mild-mannered Canadian, he can get away with it.)
I wonder if that was intentional
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
( Joe Girardi on pitching to Manny Ramirez with first base open)
H Ramirez should play CF

2009
Ramirez:: 5 E’s
Lugo: 5 E’s
The difference…..58 GP vs 26….good old Lugo
Another difference
Lugo – 1 WS ring
Hanley – nothing
Using the Derek Jeter is a winner argument (he has 4 rings), Lugo is the much better player because he is a winner and Hanley isn’t. :)
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Has anyone else who gets fangraph updates VIA Twitter directed to their cell phone
Been getting the updates today? Cause mine hasn’t.
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
Twitter's full of good people.
Basically, they had to do an update today that was scheduled for last night. They wanted to keep Twitter up during Iran’s daytime so that Iranians had an uncensored medium to express their views.
Uncensored?
That’s funny, I thought Twitter arbitrarily limited messages to 140 characters. If that’s not oppression, I don’t know what is.

FSMarlins
Has to be one of the most annoying broadcasts I’ve ever seen.
I’d say they have spent 80% of the game reading emails, 10% interviewing fans, and 5% talking about non-sense 5% focusing on the game.
The 80% thing is b/c it's Tuesday.
They do this every week. The Rays spend the remaining 20% the same way.
Ahh got ya
I never really watch the Marlins or the Rays, unless they are playing the Red Soxs.
That explains it tho, I couldn’t see them doing this every night.
Just filled out All-star game ballot....
As a joke, I put in Lugo as a write-in.
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
Only one vote per position.
So if you put Lugo as the SS, then Jed can’t get a vote from that ballot, even if you checked his name.
ive actually voted 100 times
to help out youks cause
Reply fail?
Also, it’s supposed to be a 25 ballot limit per email address – can’t be cheating when something as important as an ASG start is on the line. /sarcasm
If anybody was following the singles vs. homers debate in the DiceK thread, I just posted the table I was talking abouit.
Hence my silence for the past few innings.
4-3 now

Our bullpen is so unfair.
Why look, we’re up by multiple runs! But now you’ve kicked our starter out of the game, and have a chance to come back against:
- All Star Closer (Paps)
- All Star Closer (Saito)
- All Star Setup man (Oki)
- Future All Star Setup man (RamRam)
- Future NL Closer (MDC)
- Kid who throws 100mph (Bard)
- Former starter who’s now a longman (Masterson)
We’ve got elite relievers pitching garbage innings.
"It's just a tiny little nick, but it hurts when I get champagne in there."
- Jason Bay, on getting spiked scoring the winning run in ALDS Game Four.
I say bring Lowpez back
to put some fairness in this thing!
The only Red Sox fan in a country where nobody cares about basball!
The 2009 version, yes.
The 2008 version was actually very good. But he’d still be the weak link in that bullpen.
Holy cow, that 1-1 pitch to Bay broke like crazy.
Looked like it was gonna go off camera, totally reversed right before it crossed through the zone.
Hanley got fooled by Bard.
15 MPH difference on the change = Hanley staring at the ball in front of him as he finished his back-swing.
Good Night All!
