Marlins doing an email Q+A thing, latest question was about why MFY and Sox don't ever where NOB for jerseys.

Besides the fact that we do wear them on the road, it took the announcer a while to get around to “They’re good fans here and they know the players.” Funniest part is the guy who wrote in was talking about how it infuriated his wife – dude, explain it to your wife yourself, and be thankful she has any sort of interest in sports.

Ramirez:: 5 E’s

Lugo: 5 E’s

The difference…..58 GP vs 26….good old Lugo

by ruktuim on Jun 16, 2009 8:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

6 E's for Ramirez now.

And, as we know, Lugo aims for quality and quantity.

by lone1c on Jun 16, 2009 8:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Another difference

Lugo – 1 WS ring
Hanley – nothing

Using the Derek Jeter is a winner argument (he has 4 rings), Lugo is the much better player because he is a winner and Hanley isn’t. :)

Twitter's full of good people.

Basically, they had to do an update today that was scheduled for last night. They wanted to keep Twitter up during Iran’s daytime so that Iranians had an uncensored medium to express their views.

FSMarlins

Has to be one of the most annoying broadcasts I’ve ever seen.

I’d say they have spent 80% of the game reading emails, 10% interviewing fans, and 5% talking about non-sense 5% focusing on the game.

by ruktuim on Jun 16, 2009 8:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

The 80% thing is b/c it's Tuesday.

Our bullpen is so unfair.

Why look, we’re up by multiple runs! But now you’ve kicked our starter out of the game, and have a chance to come back against:
- All Star Closer (Paps)
- All Star Closer (Saito)
- All Star Setup man (Oki)
- Future All Star Setup man (RamRam)
- Future NL Closer (MDC)
- Kid who throws 100mph (Bard)
- Former starter who’s now a longman (Masterson)

We’ve got elite relievers pitching garbage innings.
