OK, so Randy is still way better at posting game threads, but this isn’t too bad.

"You know you're having a bad day when the fifth inning rolls around and they drag the warning track." - Mike Flanagan, Baltimore Orioles pitcher, 1992.

I don't think the appearance of game threads matters.

It’s like judging a book by its cover – no guarantee that it’s worthwhile.

"It's just a tiny little nick, but it hurts when I get champagne in there."
- Jason Bay, on getting spiked scoring the winning run in ALDS Game Four.

I’m surprised there was so much activity on a Friday night…

I'm not. Phillies are a big deal

Btw, I’m writing a postgame for this, so you don’t have to.

And as I speak.

I see Randy’s postgame… Whatever.

Ortiz

Sort of a surprise I guess, he has been picking up steam recently, don’t want to put a hole in his forward progress.

"We are not normal, We are Legends. People will tell their kids about us." - Deon Butler before Ohio State Game 2008.

Didn't

Lowell look Lugo-like in the field yesterday? Here is the question-which is better for your defense: Youk(3b)/Papi(1b) or Lowell(3b)/Youk(1b) factoring in defensive position importance…ok, it is sort of a joke, but not completely.

by Buzzy on Jun 12, 2009 5:02 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Give Lowell some rest before we start ordering him a walker.

And who knows, maybe Papi will be better as a defender tonight with his magic eyedrops. :)

by bs.uf15bosox9bears23 on Jun 12, 2009 5:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Trying to keep Papi hot, improving defense at the hot corner...

Not bad. Ortiz isn’t gonna make any plays, but Lowell wasn’t exactly flashing the leather either.

by USG on Jun 12, 2009 5:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I like Ortiz at 1b

Having Ortiz at 1b tonight makes sense to me. We maybe losing a defensive edge, but we need to keep Ortiz on the right track, coming out of his slump.

Philly has a HR friendly park, another long ball by Ortiz will help build his confidence. With this being an interleague game, even if we lose due to poor defense (on Ortiz’s part), it (imo) will be worth it if he has a hot night with the bat. One lose is a small price to trade for the number of wins a health confident Ortiz will help generate.

Nope.

I haven’t touched my PS3 in months. My family uses it to watch movies, but it’s been relatively dead gaming wise. Plus, I generally only buy sports games – only other games I have are some MoH game and a Rampage game.

Personally I’m a big mmorpg fan, and stat building is a big part of why. I really enjoy games in which I can grow the characters, it makes for a lot of re-playability.

Same, I stopped playing about 1.5-ish years ago.

However, maybe a week ago I started messing around on a purely pvp, private server.

Basically it’s just one huge AV, you log in and you log into AV. So it’s about 200 people AV (or doing arena/bgs.)

Your instantly 80 on all the characters you make, and get gear by killing people.

One kill = One gold, and they have vendors that sell every item in the game for like 20 – 100 gold.

It’s a lot of fun for a free game to screw around on.

Ya, it's a custom made server by fans

They make custom vendors, battle grounds, arenas, ect.

It’s fun :)

(To your post below, ya when I use to play the real WoW, I got them to 70. Quit way before the 2nd expansion came out so no 80s)

11 strikeouts pro Jon Lester

E isso aqui não é espanhol, e sim português. É que eu to cansado de falar espanhol o dia inteiro nessa terra de Argentinos, então to falando em português como minha lingua latina aqui.

How much do you think their owner wants to kill his wife?

Divorces him, wants half his… stuff, coincides with the Padres sucking at near-Natinals levels.

Just stopping by...

I’m studying ACT again so I thought I’d stop by and look at the game and this thread. I see we’ve already discussed PB, Buch’s ex, and wild trade rumors involving Pujols so I think tonight is okay without me. See you guys some time this weekend.

Teagarden isn't looking that sexy right now

And the Rangers pitching staff still sucks. Those assholes wouldn’t deny a trade with Bowden in ir that much now, would they?

Actually, they're pitching decent.

Lots of innings – pitching deeper into games, pitching to contact to take advantage of mucho better defense.

Damn, Capitan.

Way to get out on a ball way outside – the ump ain’t that bad.

He did pretty well in the NPB.

His stats in NPB were 34-32 with 41 saves, a 3.36 ERA, 681 strikeouts, 295 walks and 549 hits allowed in 642 innings pitched. Made three all star teams.

The year before he went to the Red Soxs he came off a season with a 2.14 ERA, a 2-2 record, 4 saves and 63 K in 54 2/3 IP while walking 14 in 55 games. Pitched in the Japan Series(the NPB version of the world series), he allowed no hits or runs in 3 2/3 IP.

Breaking News:

Strasburg signs, now POTUS and filling all 100 Senate seats, with incentives allowing him to fill the House.

He only wants 50 mil.....

and complete ownership of the team….

Oddly being the Nats, ownership is worth less than 50 mil.

Thanks, Dusty.

We needed that G6 when the ball was shoe height in the opposite batter’s box.
