But I'll copy the body of it, because I put some research [read: check FG, type numbers into post] into it:
The Red Sox are going for their seventh straight win to start the season series over the MFY. The starters are Tim Wakefield, who has been awesome to start the season, and Chien-Ming Wang, who hasn’t. The question on my mind is whether or not these two pitchers will continue at their current level of performance for the rest of the season. According to ZiPS, Wakefield should be slightly worse for the rest of the season, at least by FIP, but not dramatically worse (4.90 v. 4.58). Wang, who obviously can’t continue to be as bad as he has been, should pitch much better for the rest of the season, better than Wakefield even – a predicted FIP of 3.87 for the rest of the season. Will tonight be the beginning of these turnarounds? For the sake of Wakefield, the Sox, and all of their fans, I hope not.
