I had assumed that Lowell would be DH'ing.
He hitting well, but we don’t want to shred his hip on the turf.
Rocco’s in for Drew as well.
The worst part, though...
Is Lugo at short.
I’d prefer to keep Drew in somehow. Probably would need to play Lowell on the field, though, and as BSUF said, the turf isn’t the best place for him to play.
Lirano is very tough on lefties
so sitting Ortiz may have made sense even if he was not struggling so much. Drew is hitting well this year against lefties, but, again, Lirano has a career 602 OPS/against vs LHB.
