spent too much time in the pool. Chlorine seems to have my head reeling.

Sox are finally up.
Down 1-0 thanks to Gary Sheffield and a Beckett throwing error.

Man, it's quiet.
Beckett at 89 pitches through six.
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
I think he'll go 8.
Hasn’t given up an ER yet.
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
7 Innings is all we can ask from Beckett.
Lets turn to our mighty Set-up men next!

That was only Beckett's fourth K.

Paps
I didn't like the old one very much. I didn't see the ball there very well. - Julio Lugo on the old Yankees Stadium.
Can we get a real shortstop?
I have seen better defensive play in little league compared to Lugo and Green. Wake up Theo. You can’t wait until Lowrie is healthy as the Red Sox may be too far behind at the all-star break and there is no assurance that Lowrie will be healthy enough to play every day.

Look..
There are close games and there are blowouts. Both pitchers were obviously on. Do you watch baseball? Every game can’t be 20 to nothing.

Yes, you are correct I am wrong. We do not need a hitter. It’s ok to leave the amount of guys on base that we do.

K look
You’re calling for a major trade (I.E. “LETS TRADE BUCHHOLZ, BOWDEN, AND LARS FOR RYAN HOWARD!”) in late may. We have played how many games now? 43, 44? The time to start worrying is when we are 80 games deep and this production is still going on, or we are sitting at .500. The season is still early. I mean with the loss today we are now tied with the Yanks in the standings. Is that why you are so adamant about making a trade?
There is no trade we could make right now that would help us in the long run. You’re gonna get a guy like Victor Martinez for 1 A prospect and probably 2-3 mid level prospects. Not worth it, especially this early.

1.) It’s not early anymore.
2.) Buchholz has gone as far as he can in AAA, its time to bring him up or trade him. If he was having confidence issues, this extended stint in AAA is not helping him in the long term no?
3.) I do not think the only type of player available is a Victor Martinez. (my opinion)
4.) Prospects are just that, prospects. We gave up Hanley + and got a nice return and nice results no? It’s time to make a move.

True
But, there is no real “Error” in our starting rotation. Beckett has regained his form, Lester is coming back around, Dice-K just came off the DL and probably would have won had fuckface mcgee over there at SS not botched the DP, Wake is dominant (shocking), and Penny is probably the best #5 starter right now. Add on that Smoltz will be back in the next week or two, and we have a dominant rotation. Buch is being blocked, its quite obvious. Does that mean he needs to go? No. Next year, Penny is off the books, Wake could retire, and we could decline Becketts option (doubtful, but it could happen). Where do you turn to then if Buch and/or Bowden is gone?
I didn't like the old one very much. I didn't see the ball there very well. - Julio Lugo on the old Yankees Stadium.
We will not decline Beckett’s option. We still have at least one of Masterson/Bowden +Dice-K, +Lester. Wake will stick around. I’m not worried about our pitching, more worried about our offense. Let’s not forget Penny’s trade value is also increasing so there is an option as an inclusion in any trade right there as well. I think Buchholz is the best trade option we have, and he is red hot @ AAA, so i think we could build a nice package that would not give away the future. BUT, we will have to give up t get something back.

Anybody actually able to tell if it was gone?
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
It was gone
It hit the ledge on the monster and took a weird hop back into the park. Obvious it didn’t hit the monster itself.

Hit the vertical edge, bounced down onto the ledge, bounced up and back onto the field.
Not sure why most people couldn’t see that.
Bay up with a runner on..
last 11 homers came with a runner on..
Lets see it Bay!

Quit being a negative nancy
First everyone around here bitches and moans about how our starters can’t get on track. Then Beckett has his best start of the year and it just happens to be blown by Paps and its the apocalypse.. It’s mid May for Christs sake. Look at the positives.

The positives are we have been very lucky this year so far. The bullpen is lights out. Jason Bay is playing well. The negatives, we have been very lucky so far this year, the SP has been suspect. Our DH has fallen apart.

Dear Mr. Beckett,
I am sorry that Jonathon Papelbon f@#*ed up your best start of the year. I am sorry that baseball added instant replay that lost you your win. I am sorry that Jason Bay, Mike Lowell, and JD Drew failed to get the tying and/or winning runs home. In fact, we should just trade them all for… Nick Johnson. Yeah, trade for Nick. Ingenious. He’ll be the next Hanley Ramirez! Yeah! Then he can also reverse time and stop instant replay from being used and we win!
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!
Another close loss
and another game our beloved Big Poopie leaves a ton on base…… again. Sure nice to have a manager who puts his personal friendships ahead of the team!
