Did anyone see Tex's interview before game one?
Such a disingenuous putz. I was not on the Tex bandwagon because I don’t think he is worth a gazillion bucks but anyway…
He was such a schmuck ; commented that he hoped fans wouldn’t wish ill & death on his family. Whatever, get over yourself, it isn’t that serious Tex.

Plenty, I'd expect.
His arm should be well stretched. Lots of good sized outings in ST, 4 innings for wake, 5.1 innings last time out. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him reach 90.

It was actually kinda funny how I broke the news to my mom (her:Tek::you:Manny).
I was out with my family and we had the DVR recording the game. My sister was asking why we were recording the game (she doesn’t get sports), and my mom said “What if Tek hits a Grand Slam?” When he hit it, I got a text alert on my cell, went up to her, and said, “Remind me again why we are recording this game?”

As has much of the rest of the team. Papi trying to steal. After you already got the tying run, and there’s no double play to worry about, you sit at first and wait for the home run / double to drive you in.

Wow, and Joe Morgan is the one who finally brings up the 20-1 number.
Way to go ESPN.
by USG on Apr 26, 2009 9:13 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Joe Morgan speaks
“Pedroia isn’t a basestealer.”
…
“Although, he did steal 20 bases last year, and was only caught one time. So he has a good percentage…”
"It's just a tiny little nick, but it hurts when I get champagne in there."

Steals are pretty stupid regardless.

Not when you steal at a percentage
higher than 75%. Then they start becoming valuable.

Drew did take a weird slide behind him for no apparent reason.
So if he’d missed, that ball could’ve rolled till tomorrow.
