I was thinking more Shepard Fairey than Obama. Fairey is the guy who created that portrait of Obama; he has an exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, which I saw last weekend. Fairey had this campaign in the 80s call the Obey Giant, in which he put up images of Andre the Giant in urban cities. [The idea was to make people think about and question the role of imagery / advertising in their lives.] Thus “O-Bay Papi.” The ‘change’ I was referring to with the image was not Obama but Jason Bay taking over for Manny.
