Who should bat 2nd for the Red Sox in '09?

OK, now I think we need to go all the way down the order. The "leadoff" poll was great success, so why don't I keep doing polls until we figure out what the OTM community things should be the lineup? This one should be an easy one, but I might as well do it if I'll do one through nine.

Yeah, that's not what I meant

I mean, it’s odd when pretty much everyone in the comments is saying that Drew should lead off while in the polls Taco wins by a lot.

Yeah, I know. Just messing around with you :)

A lot of people lurk on Web sites like this. It’s easy to vote in a poll with two clicks than formulate a response in the comments…

Anyway...

its been established that the cleverest of us OTMers are commenting as evidence by our support of Drew leading off. However sanity is prevailing with Dusty in the #2 slot.
Though one voter went with Drew there, I’d love to hear the logic as I can see it, but having Pedroia just nullifies any arguments.

Syd.

The interesting thing would be to know whom the voter selected as their leadoff option. I guess it depends on whether they voted on the first poll or not, but it could essentially be a vote for a lineup like:

DP/Youks-Drew-DP/Youks/Bay-Papi-DP/Youks/Bay-Lowell-Lowrie-Ellsbury-Tek

Which isn’t entirely crazy.

That'd be fun.

The DP, DP, DP, Youks, Bay, DP, Papi, Lowell, Lowrie lineup. I think four lineup spots is just about enough to contain Pedroia’s outsized personality.

I nearly voted for Julio Lugo

That’s sexy, isn’t it? Lugo batting second, Corpse hitting cleanup…
