Want a good laugh?
Take a look at this Pinstripe Alley FanPost and its comments comparing their and our offseason results, http://www.pinstripealley.com/2009/12/18/1208131/boston-making-better-moves-then. There are so many bandwagon championship fans that none of them have any idea of what they're talking about. I live near Philly, many of them are like that too. They all seem to believe that Cliff Lee is BETTER than Roy Halladay!!! And this last sentence makes it 75 words.

Yeah well that's NY and any bandwagon fans for you.
I like the part where they talk about trading Pedroia and that Joba/Hughs = Bucholz……
MFY Idiots……a couple in touch fans, but truly ignorant.
"Hating the New York Yankees is as American as apple pie, unwed mothers and cheating on your income tax." -- Mike Royko
The Thing about Johnson..
He has numerous serious injuries, especially his back, and as we know with Wake, it is a re-occuring problem.
I don’t think a person can judge a trade right now, after the 2010 season can a fan see what trades worked out.
If MFY fans and Sox fans have something in common, they way overhype their own team’s players.
Personally I think Cashman made the right move not signing Damon, mainly because Damon’ defense has become a big liability.
I think Cashman biggest mistake wasn’t signing Matsui. I thought Matsui made the MFY lineup even scarier.
It's amazing....
How truly stupid some of them MFY fans can really be…trading DP? Ummm I don’t think so

If you actually read the comments you'll see most people think they were good moves
and are trying to explain that to the few vocal idiots who say dumb stuff. Anybody who is more or less a “regular” at the site thinks Lackey and Cameron are good sings, especially becuase most of us wanted Cameron to come to NY.
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.
@CasanovaWong: Being a long time Yankees fan (1988), I can tell you many of those fans trashing moves by other teams do not speak for us. Moronic fans are pretty much a given for every team in sports, hopefully everyone here can separate them from us.
Speaking of moves, damn if I didn’t want the Yankees to get Lackey but it seems we are content with what we have apparently. We aren’t signing Damon or getting another big bat, the most action this off season will be for some minor role-player. I’d like for us to get a big bat like like Bay but all the signs point to them keeping the payroll down for next year.
CasanovaWong is a Yankee fan
yeah there’s always obnoxious bandwagon fans who make everyone look bad. Red Sox ones slip in here sometimes too.
I have to admit that I thought the Yankees would swoop in and take Lackey
off the FA Market. Not only would he have bolstered their rotation, but it would have probably forced the Red Sox to pursue Halladay – which would have cost the Red Sox both cash AND prospects. At a minimum I expected them to use their financial clout to run the price up on Lackey.
I was surprised when Theo was able to snag Lackey for a reasonable market rate and thus keep all his prospect trading chips.
The Red Sox still need to do something at corner infield to complete the make-over though, I feel. We are unfortunately stuck right under the CBT and need to make room or we simply can’t get Beltre – so that make waiting with what we’ve got and trading for A-Gon at the trading deadline the next likely step. Hopefully Kotchman will hit better than he did last year – at least closer to his career averages, please.
As much as I like him, I don’t have any real expectation that Lowell will be able to play worth a damn for us. Murphy’s Law dictates that if we keep him, he’ll suck or never even make it onto the field. If we trade him, he’ll recover and play like a stud again …
My Birth Certificate says Boston
so I am geographically and genetically predoomed to suffer the remainder of my life as a Red Sox fan. I rooted for Yaz, Conigliaro and Petrocelli and George Scott and Jim Lonborg before that. The only messages I would ever think of having tattooed on my arm would be my children’s names or a Red Sox logo.
But deep inside I know that if I had grown up in New York during the 60s – instead of Beantown – I would be the most avid Yankee fan on the planet. Mickey Mantle would have been my idol instead of Yaz or Freddie Lynn. But let’s be honest with ourselves, there is no team in sports, with the possible exception of the Montreal Canadiens, with the history, tradition and record of success that the Yankees have. I know that I speak treason, but acceptance is the first step to recovery in the grieving process.
I have never considered turning my back on my team- despite decades of failure and some modest recent success. We have succeeded in broking the decades-long dry spell of futility and been competitive for over a decade now. My dream is to see the Sox roll up as many pennants as the Yankees before my body is laid to rest in this cursed New England soil. One pennant at a time is the only way to get there.
Um you have been living in Boston for the past decade?
The Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox all won in the 2000-2009 decade. How is this suffering?
My main problem with Yankee fan is the wanna bes, I can deal with NYC Yankee fans or the Tri State area Yankee fans, but the jackasses who claim to be fans who grew up in St. Louis with the Bob Gibson Cardinals or in LA with the Fernando Dodgers, or Um, out side of Cleveland and play for another Cleveland professional Sports team, these are the most annoying.
I see these clowns out in LA all the time. “Hey are you from NY?” asking the couple both wearing Yankee gear… “Nope we just love winners…we grew up in Orange County.” “Did you live in Orange County in 2002?”
I follow Basketball, Football, Hockey,
beach volleyball, chess and even golf, but I thought we were talking baseball here. Fifty days ’til pitchers and catchers…kids out there on March 1st with numb fingers inside a frozen piece of leather. The Celts – there is a history. But in strictly baseball terms,we have a long way to go before we can compare our history to the Yankees. One game at a time…one pennant at a time…and pray that the Steinbrenners sell the team to the people who own the Pittsburgh Pirates.
