Mike Lowell will have his physical with the Rangers this weekend. The team is still concerned about Lowell's thumb, which may need surgery, according to some reports.

what are they doing? i need to move on
why?
As in why didn’t he have surgery a week after the Angels’ series was done? How could the Sox medical staff mess up this badly?
Then again … if he should be ready come Spring Training, why would the Rangers call it off. Lots of things don’t make sense.
