Over the Monster Top 20 Prospects Voting #6: Rizzo Rounds Out the Top 5
Anthony Rizzo, come on down! Less than 2 years removed from a diagnosis of Lymphoma, the 20-year-old first baseman stormed up the rankings in 2009 and established himself as one of the best prospects in the system. Not a bad year.
Let's keep plugging along. The closer we get to 20, the closer we are to actual baseball! Writeups can be found here. Vote away!

Iglesias
I saw brief moments of major league hitting ability in the AFL, and definitely major league defense.
Now he just needs to strengthen his body and refine his swing so a fastball thrown faster than 93 MPH doesn’t knock him down.

I've been pushing Iglesias
but I had a change of heart and decided that really we haven’t seen enough of him here to judge- for now it’s possible that his ceiling is adam everett, and we have more promising prospects than that. I think likely he’ll end up higher, but for now I have trouble putting him above 9 10 or so.
I went Tazawa, he came up incredibly fast and did fantastically for his first year of professional ball. I definitely see him as a potential solid #3 starter if he continues to develop.
I think Lars needs to prove he can still hit before I vote for him- if it was injury or something I could understand but it just seemed like he couldn’t hit the pitching. I’ll probably vote for him around 10 for nostalgia of where he was last year.
This ranking is more about the ceiling than the “how close they (prospects) are to the majors” angle…and I like it! So I’ll go with Stolmy Pimentel :)
