I just hope this doesnt cost too many parts
I guess I can live with Buchholz, but i still would rather have the 5 man rotation with Buchholz, but Ells is too much for me.
So its just about price now. Theo work your magic.
Ya hear that, NG? MOMENTUM!

Uhh, right.
Because who knows more about the situation than Adrian Gonzalez. Aside from, you know, Jed Hoyer, Theo Epstein and their staffers – the people actually making the deal…

I would think that Adrian is being kept up to date.
IF I was Adrian G. and I wasnt being kept in the loop, well lets just say my agent would be getting new marching orders.
Oh..
That A Gonzalez. I thought Theo wanted to bring the other A Gonz back for more SS depth…..

Jorge Arangure also has some very....nice....things to say about Buchholz/Ellsbury:
“Ellsbury is nice player not superstar.doesn’t get on base a ton, doesn’t hit for power, and D metrics say he’s not good CF. role player”
“Also, Buchholz is still prospect. You’re not getting player (gonzalez) ranked 13th in majors in vorp for a prospect and a role player.”

Ha
I might be one of the few people who is actually still a fan of Dice-K, but if we trade him instead of Buchholz I’d be exstatic.
IF the Red Sox trade Dice-K
you can kiss signing King Felix, Mauer and or Pujols out the door. Dice-K = $$$$ in Boston’s pocket.
I highly doubt Dice-K will be traded. Plus, I think its the year of redemption and Dice-K’s pride will make it a big time year for the magic one.
I agree that I think Dice-K will have a good year, but how would trading him effect King Felix, Mauer or Pujols?
Because you'd have to eat his salary.
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

agreed if for some bizarre reason we traded him, we wouldn't pay any of his salary
he’s worth more than that as a pitcher.
I think Soxacumen was talking about the market in Japan
Dice-K brings quite a bit of $ from there.
I thought brogshan was referring to trading Dice to
SD for AGonz.

Not all of them are as smart as CW
MFY fan opinion on the AG trade rumor
This was all set up by the Red Sox in advance.
They purposely had Jed Hoyer go to the Padres, and the Padres purposely hired Hoyer so they could give Gonzalez away.
They fired Kevin Towers, a good friend of Brian Cashman’s.
(He has been reported to be a good friend of Theo’s, but I dont buy it)
Now everybody can say, Jed Hoyer knows the Sox farm system through and through.
He will get what he wants for Gonzalez.
When in actuality, Hoyer was sent to the Padres to do his duty, help the Red Sox.
To zobrist; verb – to overlook the superiority of a person or object based on misleading sensory or conversational factors. e.g. "My teacher totally zobristed me on that paper – I’d included all the points he asked for but I didn’t drone on about Grover Cleveland enough. He’s totally biased towards Cleveland. What’s worse is that Danny Dukowski got an A, and his prose style is terrible. He’s a total Victorino." deadspy3 - Amazin' Avenue
HAHAHAHA conspiracy theories abound!
I actually think he’ll be a stickler and make sure to get an appropriate amount of talent. he’d never get another job in baseball again if he took a sweetheart deal.
Although it wouldnt be the first time a GM with beantown connections hooked up a Boston team coughKevinMcHalecough
