Want To See Fenway Park In The Winter? With A Hockey Rink In It? Here It Is
Courtesy of Puck Daddy, take a look at what Fenway Park will look like come January 1.
Pretty, isn't it?
I haven't even told you all about the best part. I've been saving this bit of information, but I wasn't exactly sure when I was going to debut it. Well, now may be the best time. I will be at the Winter Classic with press credential in hand. Myself, Evan from Stanley Cup of Chowder and Travis from Broad Street Hockey will also be there representing SBNation.com.
I have many things planned for coverage from the event. But all you need to know now is that come January 1, OTM will be bumpin', hockey style.

No better way to recover from a hangover
How bout...
doing the diving in the ocean like i did lol… Can’t wait either… I don’t know if you guys belong to stanley cup of chowder but if not you should join… It’s a pretty good blog.
pardon my french...
but talk about shitty sight lines, they were better off putting the rink around the pitching mound put seats up on the outfield grass,
One of my favourite hockey games was watching it at an outdoor rink in Gunnison, CO, which can get butt ugly cold in the winter, but it was fun. As much fun as swimming in a wetsuit in the Ouray municipal pool in the winter.
Agree 100%
What were they thinking? Nobody will be able to see anything! Maybe it would be visible if the seets were more steep, but they have a gentle slope and are very far away from the rink. Like ferret said, They should have put the rink in the infield and added bleacher seats in the outfield.
I'll be there!
Five rows up on the third base side. A Ranger fan will temporarily become a Bruin fan as I want to see Chara, Savard, Thomas, and company nip the Flyers.
I say nip cause I want a good game if its going to be freezing.

You can watch them build it
If you want to see them build the rink, you can watch the live feed that is posted on the Flyers’ site. I came across it today and it looks pretty cool. Surreal, but not as surreal as it will be watching them play hockey in my favorite ballpark on New Years Day. Can’t wait!
